Overview
The Pakkr QuickBooks integration (the "Software") is a private, internal tool that Pakkr uses to automate its own bookkeeping and invoicing. It connects only to Pakkr's own QuickBooks Online company through Intuit's Accounting API. It is not offered to the public, and the only users are Pakkr's own authorized administrators.
What data the Software accesses
The Software reads and writes data in Pakkr's own QuickBooks Online company: company information, customers, items, and invoices. It uses read and create operations only. It does not perform delete or void operations, and it requests the accounting scope only (least privilege).
How credentials are stored
OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored locally on a Pakkr-controlled machine, in a file that is excluded from version control and restricted to the operating user. The application's client ID and client secret are kept in local environment configuration and are never hardcoded into published code or exposed in a browser. Tokens and credentials are never transmitted to any third party.
How the data is used
QuickBooks data is used solely for Pakkr's own bookkeeping and invoicing workflow. It is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties, and it is not used to train any machine-learning model. When the Software is operated together with an AI assistant, QuickBooks data is passed to the model only in context to carry out a specific action requested by the operator, and is not retained by the operator for training or any other purpose.
Retention
QuickBooks Online remains the system of record. The Software does not maintain a separate long-term store of QuickBooks data beyond the transient tokens and operational state needed to run. Data can be cut off at any time by disconnecting the Software from QuickBooks, which revokes its access.
Sharing
Intuit data processed by the Software is used only for the benefit of Pakkr, the company that owns the data. It is not shown to or used by anyone else.
Text messages
Separately from the Software, customers can text Pakkr's published business number. We keep the number and the messages only to answer the customer and to keep a record of the order. Mobile information is never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and text messaging opt-in data is never shared with anyone. The full terms of that program, including how to opt out, are on our SMS terms page.
Changes
This policy may be updated as the Software changes. The effective date above reflects the current version.
